The 37th NHK Taiga Drama is Tokugawa Yoshinobu. The series focuses on the life of Tokugawa Yoshinobu, the 15th and final ruler of the Tokugawa period. Born the seventh son of Lord Nariaki of Mito, Yoshinobu is named shogun when he is just 29 years old. With a wisdom and vision beyond his years, he tries to prolong the life of this 200-year-old dynasty which began with Ieyasu. However, he is unable to forestall the winds of revolution as clans in Choshu, Satsuma, and Tosa, with the help of the Imperial Court, clamor for change.

Since Shigeki’s wife passed away, he has raised his daughter Ema alone. Ema is now a high school student. Like most father and daughter relationships, they sometimes have arguments, but they still rely on each other. One night, Ema does not return from her part-time job. She is found dead. Shigeki falls into deep despair. A couple of days later, Shigeki receives a phone call. The caller gives him the name and address of the man who killed his daughter. After hesitating, Shigeki goes to the apartment that the caller told him about. There, Shigeki discovers a video showing his daughter's brutal murder. He then faces Atsuya, who just came home to his apartment. Shigeki kills Atsuya. The media goes into a frenzy covering the story. Public opinion is divided between Shigeki's actions. Soyoung, a woman in 20s struggling between making a living and getting a real job, begins tutoring a high school senior Minjeong. One day, Minjeong asks Soyoung if they could reschedule a session.

Dragon Chen (Donnie Yen,) a police officer, goes undercover in one of China’s most ruthless underworld gangs. The gang leader, Xiong (Collin Chou) has made priority to weed out the government infiltrators. As Chen’s undercover comrades disappears one by one, Chen fears he will be next target. Now he must risk everything to take down the organization and reclaim his life and his SPECIAL IDENTITY before it’s too late.
