Born with a golden tongue and able to distinguish between good and bad dishes from one bite, Ding Yat San is upset that his adoptive father Ding Yat has forbidden him from being a chef. When he hears about a cooking contest in Yangzhou, he asks Shek Yau to disguise as a man and substitute for him in the competition. As a result, he wins the admiration of famous chef Koi Siu Tin. Ding Yat San and Koi Siu Tin work together to create new dishes, which helps Koi Siu Tin win the Golden Lotus Flower, culinary's highest honour, many times in a row. As they become famous, they meet new friends who are also interested in food, like the daughter of a wealthy family Tung Ming Ming and a famous female chef Dai Ng Yuen. Tung Ming Ming has a crush on Ding Yat San, while Ding Yat San admires Shek Yau, but Shek Yau likes Koi Siu Tin, causing Ding Yat San to decide to break with Koi Siu Tinand work on his own. But things turn out differently from what he planned. Ding Yat San is framed by Shek Yau and loses his golden tongue abilities. Later, he is revealed to be the descendant of a formerly famous chef. Ding Yat San vows to clear his father's name, even if he has to pay the price of being deserted by everyone.

One year has passed since Take Seiji became a full time employee at Oetsu Construction. The Take family, having moved into their new home, have been living there peacefully until Sumiko's brother shows up one day while she is out, and Seiji and Ayako discovers that their parents had in fact married despite objection from Sumiko's family.
Also, Manami, in the midst of her internship in Okayama, is coming back to Tokyo for a week, and so Seiji and Manami are finally able to reunite. Manami's father had passed away when she was young and her mother, Sayuri, had remarried since then. Growing up in such an environment, Manami had fostered a complicated relationship with her mother, and because of that the prospect of marriage wasn`t appealing to her.
Seiji, having just started his new life, hadn't really given much thought to marriage, but after meeting Manami's mother, he is shocked to learn how Manami feels about her mother and towards marriage. But one day, on the way home from drinking with the Oetsu Construction members, Seiji and Manami come across an abandoned kitty. After promising to take care of the kitty only until a new owner is found, Manami is able to take care of the kitty at her mother`s home. But, while Manami is out at work, the kitty becomes ill and Manami's mother not knowing what to do contacts Manami and so Seiji decides to take care of the kitty in the meantime. And, the very presence of the kitty becomes a turning point for both the Take family and Manami`s relationship with her mother... -- Fuji TV

30-year-old Jo In-yeong (Kim), a teacher at a private Seoul school, is shown besotted with 17-year-old pupil Lee Seok (Lee Tae-seong) during one of her night classes. (Their respective ages become an important plot point later on.)
After giving him a lift home, she blurts out her feelings, and the two talk in her car. Back home, her live-in b.f., Jeong-woo (Kim Yeong-jae), seems strangely untroubled by her fascination for the youth.
Cut to a pigtailed teenage girl, also called Jo In-yeong (Jeong Yu-mi), whose b.f., Lee Su (also Lee), dies in a traffic accident. At the funeral, she meets his twin brother, Lee Seok (Lee again), and a romance develops, with the youngsters eventually making love. This strand is crosscut with the developing story of the teacher and the pupil that eventually brings out the hidden rebel in In-yeong's nature.
