The story is set against the backdrop of hills of Nilgiris where two siblings, Joshua and Jenny, who come from a middle-class family. Together, they dwell on the serenity and calmness of the mountains.

Ichiko works as a home health nurse. She visits a family where she has become almost a part of their family. Ichiko helps Motoko from that family study to become a nurse. Ichiko is the only person to whom Motoko opens her mind to. One day, Motoko’s younger sister Saki goes missing. One week later, Saki returns home safely, but the person who is arrested for Saki's kidnapping is an unexpected figure.
