Zhang Hong Xin is a man surrounded by women who have their motives whether it comes to his personal life or the workplace. Zhang Hong Xing is the creative director of a small advertising firm. Meanwhile, Guan Mei Yang is a seasoned head hunter who intends to pirate Zhang Hong Xing for a big firm. Perfectly content with his stable job, Hong Xing is not interested to face the challenges of a high-pressure job. However, Guan Mei Yang is a woman who won't take no for an answer. Set in the 1960s. Songward was born into a Chinese mafia family but was given an opportunity to venture out of danger by getting adopted by a top colonel, whose life he had saved. Songward gets taken under the influential man’s wing and excelled in the police academy until his adopted father withdraws him from his last year at the academy, as well as removes him from the household in order to protect his and his own son’s future and objective. Songward is given another purpose to adopted dad’s life: live in the shadows and become the clean-up man. During the day he runs a new and profitable rice factory, and at night he keeps organized crimes from fighting amongst themselves and clean up after the colonel’s mess. But despite the life that he is given, Songward is determined to be good. As Songward moves back to Yaowarat (Chinatown), he runs the household made up of his younger sister, two teens he inadvertently took under his wings, as well as a slew of employees. One particular teen with the name of Pinmook has a chip on her shoulders, and with good reasons. Songward’s uncle, Lim Mang Hong and his sworn brother, Oh Hui Chiang, murdered her entire family in order to expand their illegal business, leaving Pinmook as the sole survivor. She lived on the streets for a while and then the temple, until Songward saves her from being sold into prostitution. Pinmook realizes that Songward is nothing like his uncle. She joins his family of misfits as a teen with a sharp tongue, strong heart, but also totally insecure with her place in life.

Liang Qu is a chic, confident, and cold but charming half-cat, half-human. He became a catman when an older catman accidentally bit him while in the form of a cat, and it needs 9 years for him to be human again, without anyone knowing his secret and without falling in-love. His first love Miao Xiao Wan, is an honest woman who's created an app that translates cats' sounds and language, but unexpectedly brought massive problems since its release to the market. She then seeks help from Liang Qu, who is now a cat researcher.

The Fuccons began as a series of comic sketches on the Japanese TV program Vermillion Pleasure Night: A family of Americans, James and Barbara and their son Mikey, move to Japan "to live as Japanese." The brief skits consist of still photographs of window store dummies in Kennedy-era outfits juxtaposed with over-the-top vocal performances and lots of forced laughter. The humor is labored and inane; the dummies--obviously a Japanese take on Caucasians--recall the American cartoons of the 1930s that trafficked in ethnic stereotypes. Graduate students in sociology may someday write theses about what The Fuccons reveals about Japanese attitudes towards Americans; connoisseurs of outré cultural phenomena may revel in the series' we're-so-dumb-we're-hip charms. Episodes run the gamut from the silly to the surreal, sometimes ending with a joke and sometimes not. Episodes invariably end with the characters laughing hysterically, even if the episode ends on a serious note. Occasionally the series diverts from following the Fuccons and instead focuses on a destitute Japanese family, the Kawakitas.
