In an 18th century setting, a Naga sadhu in India sets out on a journey across Bundelkhand to seek revenge for an injustice committed in the past.

Based on the novel of the same name, the story is about the entertainment world. It tells the story of an actor named Yun Xiu (played by Ma Ke) who, after a life changing experience, comes back to the show business after changing his face (?). It is about his struggle to stay true to himself and how he arrives to the peak of his acting career.

Pei Zhen, a candidate for the best actress award, turns into a cat by accident and then is kept by Fu Sichen, the best actor and her bickering childhood friend. Just like that, they start a sweet life of cohabitation as Fu Sichen brings up his lovely pet.

The usually carefree Guan Hong Yu gets accused of having murdered a whole family. To clear his younger twin brother’s charge, the team leader of the criminal investigation department Guan Hong Feng wants to take on this case, but since he’s a relative, he’s not allowed to participate in the investigation. A new team leader named Zhou Xun is assigned and ends up seeking Hong Feng’s help. Zhou Xun and Hong Feng as his “consultant” uncover a number of cases together.
