Like the original series, "SPEC" will revolve around a pair of police detectives as part of a special division solving difficult cases (Mishou). Touma Saya is a woman with an IQ of 201 and an inability to "read the atmosphere" in social situations. Due to a previous case, her left arm is in a sling. Her partner Sebumi Takeru used to be the star performer of the Metropolitan Police. After some incident however, he was transferred to Mishou. Those two track down offenders with special abilities(SPEC) who managed to get away with their crimes.

Asumi Kamogawa (Nanami Sakuraba) has always held a strong interest in outer space, influenced by her father Tomoyuki Kamogawa (Masahiro Takashima). When Asumi was a young child, Tomoyuki designed Japan's first manned rocket named "The Lion." Unfortunately, the rocket crashed into their very own hometown, killing many of the residents. Her father felt responsible the mishap and has carried a deep sense of guilt ever since. Once Asumi graduates from middle school she decides to enter the Tokyo Space Academy, a high school for aspiring astronauts. Her father doesn't want Asumi following his path, but going against his will Asumi nevertheless enters the Tokyo Space Academy.

The Story of Han Dynasty is a re-enactment of one of the most fascinating periods in the grand river of Chinese history, when, during the latter days of the crumbling of the Qin Empire, the Han armies led by warlord Liu Bang contended for supremacy against the more powerful forces led by Xiang Yu the Conqueror of West Chu. Mainland actor Hu Jun (Red Cliff) stars as Xiang Yu while this historical figure's loyal concubine is played by the Hong Kong beauty Kristy Yang. Actors playing the leaders in the rivaling camp are no less captivating - the series features Xiao Rong Sheng and Jacklyn Wu Chien Lien as Liu Bang and his Queen. William Chang, famous for his artistic direction in Wong Kar Wai's In the Mood for Love and 2046, designs the image of Xiang Yu and makes The Story of Han Dynasty all the more splendid!
