"Horror Delivery Service" is a mini-thriller. Once in a while, everyone has eerie imaginations about things that could happen in familiar settings -- a family apartment, on an elevator, on the way home from class and by the relaxing river. In each stand-alone episode, those imaginations are turned into urban tales that shatter the peace and normality of everyday life.

Seijitsu Kusano graduated from a prestigious university and landed a job at a large company. His life seemed to be on a smooth sailing journey, but things change drastically for him. Due to the Lehman Brothers' bankruptcy, Seijitsu Kusano is laid off from his job. This is just 6 months after he started work there. Making things worse, his sick father requires expensive medical treatment that his insurance does not cover. Seijitsu Kusano is also pressured by a bank to repay his student loan. He is now in a desperate situation. Seijitsu Kusano then sees a notice for a job that promises lavish pay. His job turns out to require Seijitsu Kusano to withdraw money from elderly people's bank accounts. These people are victims of voice phishing. Three days before the high school entrance ceremony, Tanaka Masayuki, who had been active in basketball during junior high school, participates in an away game for Hikawa High School’s basketball club which he is set to join. But he suddenly collapses at the venue of the match and loses consciousness. Masayuki is hurried to a hospital. The doctor Miyazaki Hiromichi diagnoses brain haemorrhage due to cerebral arteriovenous malformation. Although his life is saved by an emergency surgery, he remains in a coma for several days. When Masayuki finally wakes up, the right side of his body is paralysed. It is a difficult reality for him to accept. He deflates after hearing Miyazaki say it will be tough for him to play basketball as he had done in the past. A year later, Masayuki finally starts high school life one year later and also develops bonds with his teammates, classmates and schoolmates. Even though Masayuki is not able to participate in matches, he becomes indispensable to Hikawa High School’s basketball team because of the precise instructions he gives from the bench. Will Masayuki be able to make his comeback to the court?
