Former salary-man Ozu (Konno Hiroki), habitual thief Hachinohe (Tokui Yu), swindler Sakai (Yanagisawa Shingo), gang member Araki (Ozawa Hitoshi) have been locked up in cell 204, a shared cell in a prison. Hara Ippei (Fukushi Seiji), a man who violated the Swords and Firearms Control Law, arrives. A quiet battle for side dishes unfolds in cell 204 without being detected by the prison guards. The five of them including Ippei engage in a heated contest to tell appetizing food stories, talking about the most delicious food they have eaten outside of prison. The winner is the one with the most number of people taken in by the story and can choose one of the side dishes he likes.

"Venus Talk" follows three female friends who are all in their 40's.Shin-Hye (Uhm Jung-Hwa) works as a producer for a cable TV station and she is still single. She hears that Director Lee (Choi Moo-Sung) will marry her junior colleague who is only 26-years-old. Shin-Hye gets pissed, because they dated for 6 years and she even supported him before his promotion to a director. Shin-Hye and some of her co-workers meet afterwork for drinks. A loud argument takes place with everybody but Shin-Hye and her younger colleague Hyun-Seung (Lee Jae-Yoon) left to drink alone. They end up spending the night at a motel. Shin-Hye looks back at that night as a one night stand, but Hyun-Seung thinks about it differently.Mi-Yeon (Moon So-Ri) is a housewife who at first seems content with her life. Before she married Jae-Ho (Lee Sung-Min), she stipulated that they should have sex 3 times a week. Jae-Ho finds it harder and harder to satisfy his wife. One day, Mi-Yeon finds something hidden in Jae-Ho's desk.Hae-Young (Jo Min-Su) lives with her twenty-something year old daughter Soo-Jung (Jeon Hye-Jin) and runs a small bakery cafe. She is dating Sung-Jae (Lee Kyoung-Young) who runs a carpentry shop. Hae-Young wants to spend more time with her boyfriend and pushes her daughter to either marry or become more independent. Her daughter refuses because of her poor financial situation. Things change though when her daughter becomes pregnant and marries her boyfriend. Finally, Hae-Young can have some privacy with her boyfriend. 

Luo Qingchuan, the time travelling protagonist in Palace, has returned from the Qing Dynasty to the 21st century together with the eighth prince Yinsi, and they are married. Yinsi experiences difficulty in adapting to modern life, and Qingchuan is not doing well in her antique-selling business. Qingchuan changes her career and becomes a screenwriter. Her first story, based on her time travelling experience, is adapted into the popular television series Palace. Qingchuan is skyrocketed to fame, and she starts writing a sequel. One day, while on the set of Palace II, Qingchuan suddenly remembers that she and Yinsi are celebrating their wedding anniversary on that day. She declines to be the lead actress and recommends Lian'er, who is playing a supporting role, to be her replacement. The director considers carefully and eventually agrees to the suggestion.

This is a story about an ordinary family struggling to become residents of Chungdam Dong, a rich neighborhood in Korea equivalent to Beverly Hills in LA. Kim Hye Ja is a housewife living in the countryside who has never lived in Seoul before. One day, she finds out that a friend from her hometown who owned a comic shop in Chungdam Dong died by accident. She decides to move into the deceased friend’s apartment on the store's second floor with her entire family, finally fulfilling her dream of becoming a coveted resident of Chungdam Dong. However, their new home is an old, broken down apartment which is nothing like the luxurious living place common in their former neighborhood. In fact, nothing has changed except for her address. Now, she has to live amongst the Chungdam Dong residents. The story depicts an interesting struggle between becoming rich and being genuine, among various people including Ji Eun, her daughter who dreams of living a luxurious life, Sang Yeop, a young man in the neighborhood, Gwan Woo, the boss of a defunct entertainment agency, Bo Hee, a famous actress from the past, and other various Korean Wave stars.
