'Emperor of the Sea' is 50-episode drama based on the Choi In-ho's novel of the same title. The drama depicts the life of Jang Bo-go (?~846), who dominated the sea of the East Asia and international trade during the Unified Shilla Dynasty (676~935). Jang Bo-go also eliminated pirates by installing Cheong-Hae-Jin on Wando, which is a geographically important sea route. Likewise he erected the order of the marine trade in East Asia from Dang(China) and Japan to the North China sea.

The story tells the romance of the young Nan Xi, who has many talents but suffers from social anxiety. When he meets Xia Rui, an enthusiastic and talkative girl, these two people who apparently live in parallel realities will not be freed from the designs of destiny.

To groom the next generation of swimming team, YIXIANG, LIN JUN, TAE and LIU JIAN are recruited to the Swordfish Swimming Team. Four boys with different personalities, have their own struggles to face. The road to their dreams is never an easy one. Will they be able to make it to the National Team?

Kongpop's dad and Namnueng's dad used to be good friends. They even invested their own money in the pub business together. This business went too well and Kongpop's dad betrayed his own friend and stole the whole business for himself, 20 years past by and Kongpop's dad knew that he would die soon and because of his guilt for what he did he gave Namnueng a large amount of money. When his dad died, Kongpop came back from the US for the funeral and found out about the will of his dad, he became very mad and wanted to get back at Kongpop. He makes her fall in love with him so that she will sign over all of the money. After she finds out Namnueng wants nothing to do with Kongpop, too bad he just realized that he was in love with her.
