Somewhere at Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture lives a woman and her son. The woman is Mashiro Ao who has lost her husband and bookstore come home from the Tohoku earthquake. It has been 10 years since the disaster and Ao decides to renovate a vacant place and reopen the bookstore which her late husband used to love. Ao then meets an architect, Hayama Eiki who is not good at socialising. However, after much interactions, they begin to get attracted to each other.

SHOCK LABYRINTH follows a group of teenagers dealing with the disappearance of one of them, Yuki, at an amusement park’s ghost house. On a rainy day 10 years later, Yuki inexplicably returns. However, no sooner is she united with her former friends than she collapses, and the group rushes to Yuki to a nearby hospital. But after checking in, they discover that things are not quite as they seem at the medical center. As the night wears on, the group sinks deeper and deeper into the events from a decade ago that led to Yuki's disappearance.

This webdrama theme is a mellow drama of 20s College student’s love life, ‘Alchemist’ is the name of the campus club in Munhwa University. They are group of college students who start this club to support each other in their decisions to abstain from dating and love and focus to study,graduate and job. But despite their best intentions, some of the members start to have feelings for each other. It is a youth story of rising 20s in university society.
